Since upgrading to iTunes 11 I haven't been able to get the column browser back to how I had it previously. I want to have a genre column and an artist column, but the column browser options are greyed out for me.
Any tips?

I'm appalled Apple have removed the column browser for devices...it makes managing my iphone library almost impossible. I update tags as I listen to new music and want to be able to remove unnecessary artists. This makes it impossible and I end up with duplicates.. iTunes has gotten so bad that I won't even play music from my computer - the search feature is now so slow that I can be sitting right at my computer and I will still fire up Remote on my phone rather than play from iTunes.
Please please Apple reintroduce the column browser for devices...I am managing one 16gb, 2 64gb and one 160gb devices and without a column browser I basically just can't be bothered. Losing this feature makes them worthless. Going to have to check out other apps for managing my device libraries. Which I consider absurd.

iTunes 11.1 let me turn it on on my iPad, and it works as expected.
And iTunes Radio is here... so long Pandora, you never worked anyway.

I assume this is the most common reason for this "problem". I felt like a real dumb dumb when I thought to just click 'songs' and get out of 'artist' view and voila! Column browser was back!
