Bluetooth Mouse movement on Mac Mini Core Duo

Bluetooth mouse movement and tracking is a bit strange. The pointer overshoots the target and 'hugs' the edge of the screen. It's not a problem with one particular mouse - two different manufacturers behave in exactly the same way. Both mice work fine on my PPC machines. Any ideas or solutions?

Mac Mini Core Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.6), Also have G3 iMac; G4 iMac and 12" G4 iBook in household.

According to http://www.chipmunk.nl/cgi-fast/applemodel.cgi

My production info is

Production year: 2006
Production week: 15 (April)

So its farily new (unless a BTO would could use old components are only get time-stamped when assembled...?)

But my mouse is like driving an 18-wheeler on ice (even after the Keyboard/Mouse update)

Again, anyone with pics of the old vs. new antennas?

Thanks,
Mike

My mini has the exact same production week according to the magic decoder ring, which is at…

…, and I have no issues, well… none that I didn't have with my PowerBook, with my Bluetooth mice (2 x Logitech MX900) nor Apple keyboard.

One thing I have noticed is that post the keyboard and mouse update one of my mie definitely works better and more consistently than the other. Oddly it the older of the two that works the best and is as good as a USB mouse. I haven't used the keyboard much due to Boot Camp.
