I had the same problem for a few days when my macbook decided not to let me drag and drop files to my iphone anymore.

so here's how I solved it:

- create a playlist of the music you wish to add

- click on the Music tab under the Iphone, in your browser to the left

- above the status bar, on the bottom of your window, you should see the Autofill bar

- select the playlist you created in the Autofill from menu

- hit Autofill on the right

Hope it helps!

I also have that problem but i have solve it.The steps I use are:

1.Add songs in playlist.

1.Click on "Iphone" which is on top with itunes store.

2.Click "on this Iphone" which is on top with summary info music etc.

3.After clicking that an album of yours songs or an empty folder will appear .

5.(As i have mention above that add songs in playlist) there is a bar on the bottom where it would b written autofill select song from playlist andclick autofill which is on right side.

I hope this will work.🙂

I'm having similar problems and it's driving me nuts! I have the sidebar up and the old format, to try to make it easier, but when I drag the music over my iPhone, where normally I could just drop it, I get the little red sign meaning that I can't drop it there. I can't find the Autofill someone mentioned (in either the new view or the old view) and am super frustrated! I just want some new music on my iPhone! Man I miss the old iTunes and my little iPod, oh the simple days... Anyone know what I should do next to get my new music on my iPhone??

Hi everyone , I actually solve this problem by myself after I start this discuesstion. And I keep getting email from people having the same problem. Hope this will help 😝

This is how I add music to my i-phone.

1. You attach your Iphone to your PC, and start I-tunes.

2. On the upper right, there is an "Iphone" icon. Click on it.

3. Then click on "On this I-phone" tab. The tab list is on the top of your itune software. It should be the one on the right side.

4. Then you can see there is a "Music" tab on the left side.

5. Make sure the music you download is converted into the right version. as "mp3" or movie clip as "mov"

6. Go ahead drag your music into it. 😁

Apple stuff is always unique and I like it cause they look so clean and beautiful. But there are just too many small problems need to deal with.

It may be that you have done something that causes iTunes to view the library your device was synced with as different than the one you are currently trying to drag music from onto the device. Go to your device in iTunes, click on music, click Sync music, click selected playlists, artists, albums, genres and then select what you are trying to sync. You may get a message that informs you that the problem is disparate libraries and iTunes will now ask if you want to operate off the current iTunes library, and then sync the new music you have selected. this will allow you to put the new music on your device and eliminate the issue going forward.

Ok.

I found the solution.

The new iTune (v11.0.4.4) doesn't allow you to directly add mp3s to your iPhone.

Rather, it wants you to "add" songs to iTunes first, then, use the iTune-added songs to iPhone

(PC -> iTune -> iPhone)

Now,

1. Ctrl+B to show Menu Bar.

2. Don't go into your "iPhone" yet. Go to "Songs" on the top menu below the Menu Bar

3. File->Add File to Library -> select your songs to add to iTunes

3.1 Organize your songs into playlist (optional)

Now, you have added songs to iTunes. Now, time to add it to your iPhone.

4. Click "iPhone" in the right upper corner

5. Go to Music and select "Sync Music"

I personally don't select "Enire music library" but select "Selected playlists, artists..." becuase I like to organize songs in playlists.

5.1 If you select "Selected playlist, artis,..." Check (in the checkboxes) the songs that you want to add to your iphone

6. Click "Apply" in the bottom right corner.

Done!

A comment to you Apple... YOU SIMPLY SUCKKKKKKK

Moobearstx got it RIGHT. Thanks, Moobear! What the $%^&* is wrong with Apple that they can't make this stuff easy? This is the second issue I've had with my iPhone and the only help I've ever been able to find is on these blogs. Sure as heck can't find it in iTunes or iPhone "Help". Apple does indeed suck. Next time I'm in the market for a new device, I'll be sure there aren't any fruit icons anywhere on it.
