Where are my apps in the new iTunes?

Where are they? When I connect my iPad it does'nt show up. How do I update apps if I can't find them.

iPad, iOS 5

When upgrading iTunes yesterday, I noted in the fine print that they were moving apps and ringtones out of iTunes "to focus on music, movies, TV shows and podcasts". Apparently, the App Store no longer exists or is available in iTunes on the Mac or PC at all and, going forward, the new IOS App Store (v11, due out next week) will be the only place to browse, purchase and download apps. There was no mention of how to manage or upload ringtones to your phone now that they have been dropped from iTunes. I personally would create custom ringtones and upload them to my phone via iTunes, but that is no longer an option.

From Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support:

Manually add items from your computer

If you have media on your computer that you can't redownload from the App Store or iTunes Store directly on your iOS device, such as custom ringtones or iOS apps, you can drag and drop the media from your computer to your iOS device using iTunes.

  1. Connect your device to your computer.
  2. Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.
  3. On your computer, find the item you want to add to your device. If you're looking for Apps, Tones, or Books (for Windows) that previously appeared in your iTunes library, you can find them in your iTunes media folder.
  4. Drag the item from your computer to your iOS device in the left sidebar of iTunes.User uploaded file

So sad that apple has secumb to the pressure of trying to be like something else. Apple was great because of their uniqueness I guess you may as well have an android and go to the google play store if they will now all be look a likes, the android phones do offer a lot but before this poor error in judgement they were never as appealing as an iPhone or other apple products. Google and its partners are breaking their necks and would give their right foot to be like apple products and win over the iPhone crowd and now it seems by this error in judgement apple will hand it to them on a silver platter, it's this now and they ignore us as usual and then its something else next, so disappointing.

Apple has succumbed to the 90% rule. Do whatever that the

90% won't care about, and for the remaining 10%, they simply

do not matter!

The problem I'm having is that I just updated iTunes yesterday on my windows 10.

but I have an iPhone 5 and apparently the IOS 11 isn't available on this phone...

So what's the problem?

You no longer use iTunes on your computer to update apps on your device.
Update the apps on the iPhone using the App store on the iPhone.

Yeah I figured that since my computer memory is still almost full

If your hard drive (not memory) is almost full, you need to clean it. You should keep it with a minimum of 10-15% free space.

That screen shot I took myself... from the new iTunes 11. 😝

It shows up after clicking on "Apps" under the Library drop down in the upper left.

It does not show up when you click on your device and then apps across the top.

If you are currently viewing your device, click done in the upper right. Then click the library in the upper left, and choose apps. The update option shows in the bottom right.

Where are my apps in the new iTunes?
