It was made for the Sprint network. From what Apple chat support advised... I would have to reach out to Sprint directly and request the phone be unlocked. Which is unlikely because I am not a paying customer.... I can also purchase an unlock code from the Web, I fear spending money on an unlock code wont help if the phone I am unlocking wont support the Tmobile Sim/Network.

A third option I came across today is a r-SIM. Which is a small microprocessor that sits under the actual sim and tricks the phone into thinking its an international carrier (not sure if you've heard of that before).

Sprint will only unlock it for use on non-U.S. carriers for current Sprint customers in good standing.

As for purchasing an unlock code from the web, no, you can't. NO ONE but the carrier it's locked to can authorze unlocking it. Anything else is a hack, a ripoff, or flat out illegal.

The r-SIM is also illegal to use in every country on the planet, as are the Turbo-SIM, Gevey SIM, X-SIM, and all their ilk.

The ONLY legitimate option to you would be to get it unlocked by Sprint. If you want to use a US carrier, then you absolutely bought the wrong phone. Sell it to someone who can use it and buy a phone you can use instead.
