iPhone 5 receiving call via bluetooth problem

I can use the iPhone 5 to place call via bluetooth in my car (Toyota Prius). However, when receiving a call via bluetooth, after pressing "answer" button, the call is connected, but no neither I or the other party can hear each other via the car's bluetooth. There are a number of people having the same issue. The car's bluetooth system is fine with iPhone 4 or 4S.

CALL APPLE SUPPORT TO GO THRU OTHER STEPS. It worked for me they stated to me I was the first call on that issue in 3 months. So obviously one of the steps they have works.

took the phone to apple genius they replaced, and same exact problem. did all of what they told me to do. they told me now i must take car into honda for firmware update, now the pointing of fingers will continue and the big waste of my time. Thanks apple

just got email from honda, they are pointing finger at apple, it seems like apple bluetooth protocol is not following industry standards.

info only, this problem started when phone was updated with the latest apple ios which occurred sometime in late december 2012, prior to this the phone work just fine in my vehicle using bluetooth handsfree link.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but this is what is happening to me. I have a Camry and Tacoma. Neither has the Entune system. Both work fine with my wife's android phone and worked fine with my old android phone. I can place a call using Siri, but when the phone starts to ring it switches back from the vehicle to the iphone 5. It also does this sometime when I am answering a call. I can switch it back to the vehicle by changing the source on the Iphone 5. Of course, I do not want to do this all the time because I do not want to have to take my eyes of the rode to check the source on the phone. Is this the same problem everyone is having?

Updating to iOS 6.1 fixed the problem for me.

I have updated to iOS 6.1 and am still having the same problem. I have also tried unpairing and then pairing again.
