This is what apple maps should have been! please check it out people, its very cool.
It may not be available in your itunes store immediately but it'll be in a matter of hours.
the only thing i wish it had is integrated 3d view rather than switching to the google earth app.
but here's to accuracy and convenience returned!

That's not what you said. Your exact words in response to Meg's comment about her not being able to select her contacts from within the Google Maps app...
I'm sure you know by now that that problem is because of apples restriction that they don't allow you to set another app as the default app.
It's been pointed out by three posters that you're wrong on this point... just admit it and move on. We're all wrong at times.
Hint: backtracking is even worse.

That's not what she meant and you know it. She meant selecting her contact addresses from within Google Maps. She clearly knows that you can't change the default apps in iOS. Calling her out like that was childish.

I own 3 "Ios" devices.

Sorry, but I did mean "from within" Google Maps, the way I can do from Google Maps on an Android phone. You are wrong and you have no sense of humor.

No, if you say I meant one thing and I explain that's not what I meant, I'm right and you're wrong.
sure you can tell me what you meant correctly, and i accept that. but others trying to score points by guessing what you meant really dont add any value to the discussion, whether they wear Kilts or not.
they should just take a hike, and find their way back using 'maps'.

Yes thats what I meant when I wrote about clicking links in native apple apps.. but people don't seem to get it.
pulling contact data is a secondary access. it will follow in future versions...

No, the others have sense both common and of the humorous kind. I can tolerate a certain lack of the former. None of the latter is just intolerable.
Well I can see why they need to take shelter behind Kilts and senses of humour to get people to agree with what they think is right...
congratulations on your heightened sense of humour. please help apple integrate it within 'maps', maybe people will be less unhappy with the directions then.
