Iphone 5 and IOS 6.0.2 is draining my battery!

Beware IOS 6.0.2!!

I loaded IOS 6.0.2 yesterday. Unfortunately it only partially fixed my wifi issues (I already have several posts about my wifi issues). But, to my complete and utter frustration, it introduced a NEW ISSUE I was not having before -- it is absolutely draining my battery. I can usually get through a day with about 75% of my battery power remaining. Today I've gone through 90% and I've done nothing special with it.

Come on, Apple! I know you guys have to be reading these posts. You are driving your loyal fan base away. I'm ready to get my money back and switch to Android. The time (hours-and-hours spent trying to debug my problems) and money do not seem worth it any more.

BTW I should correct some erroneous posts I made to this thread.

1 . I thought it didn't happen on 6.0.1, but actually I didn't run it long enough to know.

2. Cycling the battery through zero multiple times actually did NO better. But, when it was above 50%, the numbers seemed to be better and that's why I initially reported that it improved. But the decline rate got worse under 50%, and it still ran empty in 2 days.

3. I did call Apple and was advised that my performance was better than his .. hence the post "It is what it is".

Partial Fix: Turn off WiFi (this issue seems only to be related to WiFi)

I did this while traveling the other day, and it immediately improved the battery situation. I also did this while on a 40 minute, 5 mile run, streaming music and tracking my run, and only used 7% of the battery.

I realize this isn't a total fix, but if you're not needing WiFi, it's a great way to get great battery life back.

I haven't done the update to 6.02, yet, but I've noticed a very fast battery drain on my iPhone 5. When it does, the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch... uncomfortably hot. I went to bed with 70ish% and when woke up, it was down to 20something%.

I've been trying to pinpoint the problem and in my case, and although I'm still ruling out options, it seems it has to do something with Facebook. Letting the phone drain its battery and then do a full charge seems to fix the problem.

If you think your battery is poor on 6.0.1 do not even THINK of going to 6.0.2. My phone is now trashed.

It runs HOT on the back and drains like crazy even with WiFi off! It's not even midday and it's down to 21%.. That's crazy! It used to last all day and sometimes into a second day without recharge!!!

Can someone post instructions on how to downgrade to 6.0.1 please?! I can't wait for Apple to sort this out as my phone is unusable...

Many thanks -

I agree with the above posters that it's not just wi-fi. I have done all of the recommendations and essentially almost relegated my phone to that of an ipod, but the drain is still bigger than before the upgrade. For instance, when I speak on the phone with all background apps closed and all internet off, I lose about 1% of battery life every 1-2 min. When I turn on an app, same thing happens, regardless of the app really. So other things have been impacted.
