Iphone 5 and IOS 6.0.2 is draining my battery!

Beware IOS 6.0.2!!

I loaded IOS 6.0.2 yesterday. Unfortunately it only partially fixed my wifi issues (I already have several posts about my wifi issues). But, to my complete and utter frustration, it introduced a NEW ISSUE I was not having before -- it is absolutely draining my battery. I can usually get through a day with about 75% of my battery power remaining. Today I've gone through 90% and I've done nothing special with it.

Come on, Apple! I know you guys have to be reading these posts. You are driving your loyal fan base away. I'm ready to get my money back and switch to Android. The time (hours-and-hours spent trying to debug my problems) and money do not seem worth it any more.

Horrible. Apple. Battery on ios 6.0.2 is very bad now! Evry year is the same problem. Batery bad

Grab a 6.01 ipsw file for you phone above. Mine is a A1429 model. Just download the file then open iTunes with phone connected and option and click restore iphone. This will open an option to browse to the ipsw file on hard drive. No need to go into disuse mode now.

My phone is back to normal now after this.

Yes. My iPhone battery life was good before ios 6.02. Now it drains completely after only 6 hours... EVEN IF I'M NOT USING IT. *** APPLE.

Does anyone know if they will update the 4s? Mine worked perfectly fine on iOS 5 then when I updated to 6 my wifi is now disabled and I cannot turn it on and my battery is draining in less than a day without even using my phone

I have the same thing. My phone drained completely in like 6 hours after the update and the battery was WARM. Turning cellular data off fixes it. When I first got the iPhone 5 it did the same thing. Apple: get us an update! This makes the phone useless and could Potentially damage batteries.

ok after the first fast discharge after updating to 6.0.2 I fully charged my phone again the turned it off then back on now my iphone 5 is staying charged up like it did on 6.0.1 will last all day and still have 75% left on battery so I'm a happy camper again

Updated to 6.02 late on Friday. Turned phone off the back on and charged overnight. Removed from Charger at about 8:30 am, it's not 8:45 pm and phone is at 85%. Received several texts, about 80 emails and placed one phone call.

I was having battery problems with 6.01, 6.02 seems to have corrected the problem. I have not experienced any WiFi issues then or now.

If anything changes, I will update.

I have been having the same issue with the battery. It drains out way too fast. I noticed the problem right after I updated the software to IOS 6.0.2, but i think i might have found a fix to my battery issues. Last night I let the phone drain out completely until it turned off then charged it completely which took about 2hrs to complete. Just like magic the phone went back to being a phone. Hope this works for you.
