Apple TV Movie icon disappeared from Menu

My Apple TV the Hulu + icon is missing but you can still click on the spot and it opens it's been gone for about a week now

Same problem in Spain

Back in Belgium now.

I had the same problem yesterday. Is it restored in Spain?

I am in the US and have lost Movies, TV Shows, Netflix, and others. I have restarted but have not restored yet (don't want to hassle if Apple is just going to fix it soon) but it's been two days with disappearing icons.

I can see it in the US

Called Apple and got prompt (free) service. They suggested restoring to factory settings and that worked. I was just too lazy to reenter all of the settings and passwords to try that originally.

Eng: Yes... It's solved in Spain. You only have tu reset the appletv

This may sound a little too obvious, but this is what worked for me.

I had updated the Apple TV and then the icon disappeared from macbook. I fooled around with this problem for a few hours until I realized I probably have to turn on AirPlay again. So I went into Setting and turned on AirPlay. And thats what worked for me. 😝

I see this has been going on for a few years. I just experienced this for the first time today.

What I like best about this thread is the replies that begin with: "Welcome to the Apple Community."

This was just after my daughter noticed the suggestions Google gave when I typed in: "Apple TV movies."

My daughter thought the suggestions where rather funny, but then I had to show her why they were even funnier than she realized:

What you have to do is reset your Apple TV in settings and after you do that and set up your Apple TV again you'll have your missing icons

USA, movie app disappeared. Returned after restart. It does not sound like that will help anyone but that's what worked for me.

me too. movies have disappeared and I tried everything. makes me wonder whats up.
