My iPod touch 5th gen front camera is not working

I got my iPod touch 5th gen three weeks ago and it was working just fine as I could make FaceTime calls.... Yesterday the front camera shutter suddenly stopped working , it stays closed and will not open.... Even by doing a force quit of the camera app the problem persists... Resetting it will not work, resetting the settings will not work either... My back camera works just fine.... If I switch to the front camera the shutter freezes and won't open... what I do is I turn my device off and after a while as turn it on and the app camera goes back to normal displaying the back camera but if I switch again to the front camera it just simply will not work as I described.... Does this happen to anyone? Is this a software malfunction or is it a hardware issue?.... Thanks for any response regarding this matter....

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

hey , I just got aniPod Touch 5g this passing Tuesday 2/19/13 , and since Friday my front facing camera forfacetime, it’s been stuck on the swirling thing when you’re trying to change camera and it would stay like that till I restart theiPodand goes back to the front facing camera. What should I do because this is my secondiPod Touch 5g in two months!! It (iPod) has not been a fall/drop on the floor or anything to harm it physically or internally, is this a bug, or what do I do?User uploaded fileUser uploaded fileUser uploaded file

Same As I said for the previous pster

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
