what key settings should i have in order to get a midi signal from my audiophile(which i have my keyboard connected to)? This is definitely a settings issue not wiring.

can't seem to get a signal when i play my keyboard. i know this is not a wiring issue because it worked on my old computer (before the hard drive died)....trying to set up logic 9 which i just downloaded from app store. what should the "environment" look like? certain midi in out settings? sorry i am a newbie and my friend set it up last time i did this.

basic set up here- not sure what the problem is....keys go to small mixer which goes to audiophile and then to usb port of my computer....so i need to to something to the clicks and port settings?

i beilieve my nephew may have installed an audio driver for mindcraft(video game) at one point? not sure if it is still on computer?? will try your other suggestions now

seems now if i want to close logic it has to be a force quit. and will not reload without restart

Looks like that's the case for now.

What other USB peripherals do you have plugged into the computer? Do you have a USB printer? Are you plugging the Audiophile directly into the computer or are you using a USB hub/expander?

Probably a driver issue... it's losing the USB connection, does the Audiophile have a Power switch? If so, instead of unplugging... try turning it off for 15 seconds then back on.

Also, doesn't the audiophile have a software control panel, a small "applet" used for settings.. maybe something there that might help.

great- well, lucky me=)..so if i turn off the audiophile for a few seconds as suggested- works great too....as for the applet? not sure what that is?

Oh, and I like puzzles.... this was a fun one!

An applet is a small application. ha..no really!

It's also called the Audiophile USB "Control Panel", not sure if there's anything there that will help but it will let you directly access the Audiophile's internal settings, might want to check it out. You can always reach me at Yahoo same name.

At least now you have an easy workaround. Without having to reboot...

One other thought, have you tried a different USB port?
