what key settings should i have in order to get a midi signal from my audiophile(which i have my keyboard connected to)? This is definitely a settings issue not wiring.

can't seem to get a signal when i play my keyboard. i know this is not a wiring issue because it worked on my old computer (before the hard drive died)....trying to set up logic 9 which i just downloaded from app store. what should the "environment" look like? certain midi in out settings? sorry i am a newbie and my friend set it up last time i did this.

basic set up here- not sure what the problem is....keys go to small mixer which goes to audiophile and then to usb port of my computer....so i need to to something to the clicks and port settings?

don't think there is anything there that would help...

definitely want to purchase a new usb port as this is really old and the headphone jack is starting to break down

or er i mean i want to buy a new audiophile...as for usb port- this is a brand new macpro laptop?

New Macpro laptop? Nice... I think if/when I get a new Mac it will probably be laptop, I'm waiting to see what Logic 10 delivers, been using Logic since ummmm.. 2.5, a MIDI only version, went to audio at V3.

wow- so cool! i thought about how amazing it is there are people out there like you who enjoy sharing their expertise and find it "fun"to help people!! for free?!! thanks for your help!!....seems i may need a new usb hub because things are the same with the audiophile...do you have any recommendations? as for logic 9 i am enjoying it so far (save for my driver issue)...just upgraded from logic 8

Don't have much of an idea what's available in USB.

This is being sold at the Apple store and seems like it would be comparable in features to what you have now, but much better sounding.

I don't really help people for free, it's all worth it when I get to grouch at some slacker who apparently "knows it all" but yet can't figure out where to plug the mic in. There's quite a few that have been appearing in this forum recently. I lie in wait! heh....

ha - yes i thought that is what a usb hub was when you were referring to it last night...i don't really need one ...but thanks for solidifying that for me!!....i will make sure i scour the manual before asking any questions in the future;) with your knowledge- you deserve a challenge!!

yes they were all done with my audiophile and behringer except for higher and higher which was remastered by my friend allan levy....i have no idea what i am doing- just use my ears and give up when i can't take sitting in front of the computer anymore...thanks for listening and your feedback!!
