Cant connect to the Internet as I don't have an I address.

I have tried renewing dhcp lease and have deleted info such as preferred networks as well as rebooting my computer and nothing works.

Ah, so this is technically a forum for people who are using Apple routers, though considering I'm a fellow Sky customer I'm generally pretty aware of their network gear (including much nerdy grrring at their lack of proper PPPoE on the network side).

  1. Can any other devices connect to the internet via the Wi-Fi network from the Sky router?
  2. Is the Network Name in the Network preference pane the same as the one that you either set, or which is on the sticker on the bottom of the Sky router?
  3. Have you tried restarting the Sky router itself?

Well as I'm with Virgin Media I might not be able to help as much. Can you actually see your WiFi network? Have you tried renewing your DHCP lease? Have you tried pinging a host from your Mac (in Network Utility or Terminal)?

Just seen the 2nd screenshot. Connect to your Sky WiFi network using the provided name and password.

The problem is that it's failing to basically connect to the router at all, apparently due to the password being wrong, so the router doesn't hand it an IP address like it should.

I'd definately try changing it like edex suggests, and then see if it fixes it. Though it might bug your flatmate in terms of him having to connect to a differently named network and re-enter the password, you could also try changing the network name at the same time to make it less likely that an old, incorrect password for the same router, could get sent.
