I have a 5th gen. and I just got the new iOS 7

my ipod turned onto a blank screen and its not completely black but the volume button still works. my screen is smashed so idk if thats what caused it but it was still working perfectly what do i do?

i have the same problem but with me there comes an image of a USB- plug and Itunes on it
