App Store problem - blank update screen iPhone 5

All tabs working in App Store except Update tab. Icon shows 4 updates available, but open App Store and update screen is blank

Have tried re-setting both App Store app and phone. Tried resetting wifi. Nothing fixes it.

Advice?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2

Still hasn't worked for my 4S. I've only had this problem for a couple days (since upgrading to 6.1.1), but NONE of the fixes work. Tried all the solutions listed on this thread in the exact order the posters specified... and nothing. Logging out, turning on/off airplane mode or wifi, changing the date, changing the language, shutting down the app, Fully reseting the phone, resetting my internet connections. NOTHING.

Really wish Apple would at least acknowledge that this keeps happening to people and has been a persistant problem for months.

I fixed mine by doing a full restore, NOT from a back-up. Like setting up a new phone. Had to reload all of the apps from iTunes on my puter and got pics, music, contacts, etc. from the cloud. Not sure where the problem was but restoring from a backup must have been replicating whatever was causing the blank. Lost a few notes and maybe some misc. crap that I haven't discovered yet... Had to redo all setting, preferences, etc. but updates work fine now.

I hear you on the needlessly confusing iTunes restore, synch procedures. For sure before I ever do any of them I backup the phone so I can get back to where I was if something screws up.

Mine was a brand new phone so I wasn't worried about losing any data so just did restore thru iTunes, but maybe Settings>General>Reset >Reset All Settings would get rid of whatever is causing the miscommunication with Update. That will set the OS back to factory defaults but it won't delete content, just settings, passwords, etc. there's a discussion of how, after doing Reset All, to Set Up Like New Phone here:

Make sure you don't hit Erase All Content and Settings cuz that WILL wipe your phone. Tho even that should not be a problem if you backup immediately before trying any of this. I'm assuming you back up to a computer via iTunes.

Can't comment about iCloud backups yet. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly the iCloud works as I have pics on my iPad that came from my old phone via iCloud but don't show on my new phone.
