App Store problem - blank update screen iPhone 5

All tabs working in App Store except Update tab. Icon shows 4 updates available, but open App Store and update screen is blank

Have tried re-setting both App Store app and phone. Tried resetting wifi. Nothing fixes it.

hey guys, i found the solution for the blank screen probelm for the updates screen. as many of you, i had the same problem on my iphone 4, IOS 6.1.2. so i called the tech support. what they told me to do worked right away.

here is what i did:

1. press the home and power button at the same time (just like taking the screenshot) for about 10 seconds, untill the screen goes dark.

2. ideally, the screen goes dark, and it should come back on in about 10 seconds.

3. if it doesnt, just press the power button to turn it back on.

check the updates screen, and it should work. the techsupport told me it was a 'reboot' function, which just clears some things.....i am not really sure what it is.

so, this is the solution that worked for me, and now it is working properly.

hope this works for you.

Tried EVERY SINGLE FIX posted on this thread short of restoring my 4S as I'm away from my computer for a few days, and still get that blank update page.

Can we at least get an official statement from Apple?

This is VERY frustrating, especially since I paid big bucks for an unsubsidized phone that has tons of issues since the iOS 6.x updates.

Sadly Apple seems to be going the Microsoft way...

The blank Update Screen hit my iPad mini about 6 hours ago. Since then I have been in contact with Apple via e-mail and they came up with a few suggestions which did not work and now it appears they have gone home for the evening.

I have tried all possible suggestions listed in this thread as well, and all to no avail.

Some folks might find this info useful: That is, I did manage to download my updates via the "Purchased" section in the App Store. Very tedious as I have several hundred apps - both installed on the ipad and waiting for download in iCloud - have to sort through and tap the update button on the individual apps one by one . It's at least good to know that I can update my apps this way - it's something - but the "update all" button in the Updates Page really was the way to go.

So then I spent a few hours trying to figure out how to permanently delete apps that I will never use - in an effort to clear up the clutter and make updating from the Purchased section a lot easier. Apparently there is no way to do this either - at least not without iTunes on a computer, which isn't an option for me.

I am presuming that this "bug" will be fixed someday. I am through trying to find a solution now though. Soooo frustrating. Will just wait and work around the problem til Apple responds with a fix.

I guess I have a beef with Tech Support cause in my correspondence with them it was never mentioned that this was a know issue and I think this is something they should be aware of instead of getting a person to dance around with futile non-solutions.

Good luck everyone!
