Is there any way to automatically prevent the iphone 5 to ring or vibrate for any number out of my contact list?

Meantime I found out some other strange thing on my iPhone 5.
Settings>Do Not Disturb>On
Settings>Notifications> Do Not Disturb>Allow Calls From>No One
…but the phone rings anyway.

The New Year messed with DND like Y2K should have ended the world. Search for it in these communities and you'll see the issue.
DND works with screen locked.
OMG, I'm silly, but of course, DND only works with screen locked. 😊
This maybe solves my initial question.
DND always on and Settings>Notifications> Do Not Disturb>Allow Calls From>All Contacts
The “others” will have to wait 😝
DND will also disable all other alerts - texts, email, push notfications, voicemail, etc. regardless of origin. You may not want that!
Ooops! As a matter of fact, I don't.
I must definitely edit my ringtone contacts one by one 😢 and set a silent ringtone as default whenever I want to avoid other calls just like Malignance taught me.
