A leopard printing server abandons jobs

I have set up a printing sever with OSX 10.5.8 Leopard running in iMac G5.

A printer RICHO GX e5500 is connected to the USB port of the server and shared.

It is possible to print a single page per a job from the client of OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion.

However, a job, which consists of multiple peges, is abandoned by the server.

No print is obtained.

The printer monitor always says that the job is abandoned.

It seems possible to print 2 pages per a job.

However, the server won't print a job which consists of multiple pages such as 5.

Of cousrse, I have isntalled the printer driver both to the server and to the client.

Are there any further settings required either for the server or for the client?

The details of the hardwares are the followings:

The server: iMac G5 (PowerMac 12.1) with 1.5GB RAM

The client: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010) with 12GB RAM

WiFi connection is used both for the server and the client.

And the printer is a kind of ink jet.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Mountain Lions

I've been trying to print from Apple Preview but in vain.

It is the biggest question why it is impossible to print more than 3 pages per a job

although it has been possible to print up to 3 pages per a job from the same version of Preview.

In addition to that, I can obtain outputs of any multiple pages per a job such as 200 pages

when the printer is directly connected to the network being given an IP address.
