ok. but if they do give me a replacment phone.. would they need my pin number to activate it? or just my number?
Your serial number is all that is required to complete the replacement.
To activate the handset, you will need to enter a SIM PIN - Not all Sim cards have pin numbers.
If you have a handset that does not utilise a SIM, then you will have no issue.
I would recommend backing up to iTunes before replacement, so you can restore your content.
i'm talking about if they call my carrier? what will i have to tell them?
hey if you're having a problem with the speaker, clean out the dirt with an old trading card, i.e. a digimon/pokemon card. and if it still doesnt work, probably the dock is jacked up.
So what is wrong with the phone if no slider bar is present as a handset, but is present when plugged into headphones or a jack of some sort???
You might try connecting to a bluetooth speaker or earphone, then disconnect the bluetooth connection. I've had this work on a couple of iOS devices. I know this is an old post, but probably still appropriate today. No OS is perfect. [I've made this post a couple of places on this site]
