Hello,

i would like to mention that the charger was out of the box and attached to it from outside.

after a while i checked the IMEI number in apple website and this is the result i've got:

Sorry, but this is a serial number for a product

that has been replaced. Please check your

information and re-enter your serial numbe

and i also can't check when was the first activation of this device.

i did all that since after a month i had problem with the touch sensors..

what i would like to ask is , if ANY IMEI number must be show up in apple site

Assuming that the device was manufactureed in apple ?

An IMEI number is completely different from tn iPhone's serial number. Apple does not have any public look-up system for an IMEI number. If you entered in the serial number and got that message, then you almost certainly were sold an iPhone that was replaced, probably because it was defective in some way, and has been subsquently sold without authorization. Apple will not be able to help you with this iPhone, so I would suggest you go back to whomever you purchased the iPhone from for assistance.

This is not an Apple issue. You apparently purchased your phone from an unauthorized dealer, one that sold you a phone that was either stolen or had been replaced and then illegitimately sealed up and sold. Hence you assume all risk of having gotten stolen goods and/or a defective product.

This is something you need to take up with the store management, your country's consumer protection agency or possibly the police.

Again, and for the last time, you bought your iPhone from an unauthorized source. Apple has no responsiblity in the matter. The store you bought from lied to you and sold you a stolen or otherwise illegally-obtained iPhone.

@ varjak paw: I'm sorry you work for Apple?

If it's true, you should ask Apple is responsible to the consumers of their products sold.
When the product is still under warranty, check the IMEI on the Apple site to get clear information, but when the warranty expires, then the received information is stolen products,
products replaced ... when checking the IMEI on the Apple site.

It is scary!

You purchased an iPhone from a non-authorize grey market vendor. The phone in question is one that the original owner did an over the phone replacement and never returned the original iPhone. This person then sold this phone to someone else and it eventually ended up with the vendor you purchased it from. There is no way for Apple to control this. The way you can control it is to purchase from an authorized reseller.

No.

Only when you purchased from an authorized dealer. When you purchase from an unauthorized dealer, you assume all the responsibility for any problems with the purchase.

There is nothing more anyone here can tell you. You will need to work this problem out with the store from which you purchased the stolen iPhone. Apple cannot help you.
