I have downloaded a trial version of Sophos antivirus and it has resulted in my Mac running very slowly. Does anybody have an ideas on how I can uninstall this software?

It's important to note that the file list you're referring to was posted more than two years ago, and is almost certainly no longer entirely accurate. You really should be using the Sophos uninstaller for this. You can always re-download from the Sophos site.
