Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Going to Settings -> General -> Software update, my Verizon iPhone 4s on 6.0.1 is prompting me to download iOS 6.1 Beta 4. I'm not a developer and can't seem to find a way to download the official 6.1 release instead... anyone have a solution? I haven't yet tried updating via iTunes, as I don't frequently use my home PC anymore.

Nope, I have the same problem with Cosmote - Greece.
Resolved it by updating through itunes.
Well, there you go; the solution/workaround to this is to update via iTunes.

I am in Dubai and get the same issue. I have a sneaky feeling this could be due to the model number.
I have a 1428 rather than a 1429.
The update 6.1 resolves LTE issues and the 1428 is a US phone, where the 1429 is more universal.
That's my thoughts anyway....

i got traumatized when i updated my iphone 4 ios 5, but it is locked so i need a sim card and i cant activate it :/ and im scared it might happen to my i5 even though i have factory unlocked now. im scared!!! waaaaa help 🙂
update it via itunes it will work
