hi there! try this update your IOS to 6.1.1 it should work just fine, when using APP STORE again all you need is to wait while its loading. Example your in the Features mode of the app store wait till it loads dont jump from there to categories, genuis or updates. Hope it helps
All,
I have tried all the fixes (which did not work for me).. This is what I did to make it go away.
I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 6.1.
Click on the App Store
click on "Featured" at the bottom
I got this message "too many HTTP redirects"
let it go until it goes blank
Let it go into sleep mode 3 or four minutes
click the home button to "wake"
Featured popped up.
Hope it works.
You know it's funny, but by now there's over 50 different suggestions as to how to solve it. I would get it every time I would click on an app for the details. So are you saying you get when you just go into the "featured" section of App Store?
Hi Edgarin108,
Yes, that is the only time I would get this message is on the featured link below. I think this was common for most everyone all other links at the bottom worked fine.
And, you are correct, there were all different kinds of fixes including a complete reset. All I can say is that I tried all of them (with the exception of reset) they didn't work for me. I let the App Store go to sleep after I clicked the "Featured" link waited 3 or 4 minutes, then it came up after clicking the home , then slide to unlock. Note: I never left the Featured screen.
Hi i having the same issue too. I try using all the method but its still not work for me. I am using singapore app store
I having a same issue too. I try every method but still not work. I using singapore app store.
It seemed to be fixed now, at least on my iPhone 5 since yesterday evening
My iPhone 5 on 6.1 still has this problem (but not on my iPad 4 on 6.1). However, the "too many HTTP redirections" message appears in the "Top Chart" tab instead of the Features section. I can go to every section of the App Store except the Top Chart. 😢
I'm using an iPhone 4S running 6.1.1 (Malaysian store) and I have also been getting this problem. I've literally tried everything listed here, but I tried something else and it seems to work for me. Here's what I did:
1) Go and search for a random app. In my case I searched for "Infinity Blade".
2) Install it i.e. Click on the buttom that says "Free" or for example "$0.99".
3) When you get the prompt to input your password, press "Cancel".
4) Click on the app and read it's description. At this point I could do so, whereas previously I could not do that under Featured or Top Charts.
5) Next, try to go to Top Charts and click on any random app. I could do so, but I still got the error "too many HTTP redirects". Boo.
6) However, after that I went back to Top Charts and then when I tried clicking on a random app I could do so already without the error showing.
I have no idea if this is a permanent fix, but this is what worked for me. I hope it works for those of you who are facing the same problem as well. Bear in mind I have tried everything else listed in this post already, so if this doesn't work for you maybe you could try what other people have recommended and give it another go. Good luck!
I've struggled and struggled with this problem, finally trying your suggestion -- exactly -- this morning. It worked like a charm.
At least in my case, I agree with your comment that the problem is the cache, which was cleared with the hard reset. (I note that my issue was with the "Search" option only.)
Thanks!
i was having the same issue and i think it was because i was using my app store while my iphone was on 3G,
even on wifi

My problem has been solved by upgrading to iOS 6.1.2 today.
Hi everyone! I had same issue too. I tried some work arounds but the ultimate solution is to update to iOS 6.1.2 and it worked. And wifi connection is superb!! Enjoy!
Thanks a lot, this solution helped for me 😎
Did reset all settings and it worked. No need to restore the device
