This solution also worked for me (3GS 32GB, AT&T). Leaving the App Store app running and rebooting the phone cleared the error.
Many thanks!
The error first appeared when I tried to create a new Apple ID for another store. The error was fixed by going to Settings -> iTunes & App stores and then sign in with my original Apple ID

Hi…
I have the same problem but I solved it easily…
It happened when I tried to make another account and just closed the App Store, then I got the mentioned message…
My solution was:
1- Go to Setting> iTunes & App stores> sign out of your account
2- Open App Store and try to download anything free and when asked to enter your account just close the App Store
3- Go to setting again and sign in
4- For here it worked for me, I don’t know about you
i had the same problem, this is how i solved it..
step 1: go into safari
step 2: close all the tabs
step 3: go back into the app store
step 4: all done!
Hello,
I have some simple steps to Elmo you guys out.
First, you try to view the app in the AppStore.
Then when it says too many http directs, press the home button.
Fiannaly, double click home then delete AppStore, then go back to
AppStore and your app will be loaded!
I think apple doesn't care for us any more !!
Using iphone 5 right now but i wont buy a new apple prodcasts any more
I tried most every suggestion here except reset settings. I instead backed up and restored from the backup. Now all works. I have noticed that the icons on the bottom bar of the App Store have moved around a bit.

You've coined a new term!
'Prodcasts'!
Is that like, a podcast about a new product?
You need to do a factory reset (erase all content and settings), set up as new phone, then input your icloud info to restore some data lost (contact ect..)
1. Set icloud to sync your important information
2. Remove any / all data from the device (backup will not work)
***PERFORMING A BACKUP VIA ICLOUD OR ITUNES WILL NOT RESOLVE THIS ISSUE - IF YOU RESTORE FROM BACKUP THIS FIX WILL NOT WORK! MUST SET UP AS NEW PHONE!
3.Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
4.Setup the iPhone (You Must Set Up As New iPhone)
5.Go to app store - no error 🙂
6.Sign into icloud and itunes account (Do Not Restore From iCloud Backup)
7.Go to app store - still no error 🙂
Hope this helps.

Don't spam the same answer over and over in old threads. No need to bump old threads like that. Just reply ONCE, and leave it at that.
go to settings ->general ->reset -> "reset all settings" - it will work
Reset All Settings!!! (It worked for me)
I tried reset all setting and it worked for me :)
Settings -reset- network settings - reset
This will reset all the network password
But did clear the problem " too many http redirects"
On iphone5
Have you ever switched between two or more iTunes accounts?
