to many HTTP redirects

When I am trying to go to the app store I am getting a massage "to many HTTP redirects" and I can't conect.

This happens when I am on wireless and on 3G.

Recently I changed my itune store from canada to Australia, so I don't know if that got to do with anything.

Can you please tell me what to do. as this is very frustrating.

Thanks.

Thanks to leejustone. I followed instructions posted 2/9/13 and it fixed the problem for me.

Here's what worked for me:

Open the settings app

Tap iTunes and app stores

Tap your account name at the top

Tap View Apple ID

Enter your password

Tap done

Quit Settings

Open App Store

The message "too many HTTP redirects" appeared again, but I tapped on OK and it just worked after that.

Thank you leejustone!

I think I figured it out...first force close anything that is running through the open app utility (double tap home button, press and hold an icon then hit the "x" on each icon). Then do the following...

Go to:

Settings>safari>open links

Set that to "in background"

That should do it. I had set that to "in new page" and started getting the "too many http redirects" bug, so I switched it back to "in background" and haven't seen it again. Hope this works for everyone as it did for me

You need to do a factory reset (erase all content and settings), set up as new phone, then input your icloud info to restore some data lost (contact ect..)

1. Set icloud to sync your important information

2. Remove any / all data from the device (backup will not work)

***PERFORMING A BACKUP VIA ICLOUD OR ITUNES WILL NOT RESOLVE THIS ISSUE - IF YOU RESTORE FROM BACKUP THIS FIX WILL NOT WORK! MUST SET UP AS NEW PHONE!

3.Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings

4.Setup the iPhone (You Must Set Up As New iPhone)

5.Go to app store - no error 🙂

6.Sign into icloud and itunes account (Do Not Restore From iCloud Backup)

7.Go to app store - still no error 🙂

Hope this helps.
