Disappearing Events in icloud.com Calendar

For some strange reason last night all my class times that I had in my calendar disapeared right before my eyes in the icloud.com/calendar calendar for this entire term, both past and future. I checked my iPhone and all of it is still there, but on icloud.com/calendar they're still missing. I figured for some reason perhaps my phone simply wasn't syncing correctly so I re-entered all my class times on the website. I checked my phone and it now contains duplicates of all my class times. A short amount of time past and I returned to icloud.com/calendar to discover that the newly re-entered class times had disappeared once again!

I've looked around the settings and I can't figure out why they're suddenly disappearing.

Any help would be awesome!

The 'export calendars to [location] then re-import' can be useful, but I doubt it will work for this issue. It's a work around at best, but there does not seem to be an underlying issue of data loss here, rather the issue is having that data displayed on iCloud web [client].

Mac users might want to do this (there is probably a similar work flow for Windows/Outlook users). Just in case while 'fixing' the problem Apple wipes your data from iCloud use need a back up. If your data from iCloud got wiped and everything is still syncing to your other devices, you might find your iPhone/iPad/iMac etc. loses its data as it's syncing (correctly) with the data wiped iCloud.

On your iMac open up Calendar.app, File>Export>Calendar Archive and save the resulting file on your internal drive somewhere.

We're seeing this also; we have only one Apple hardware item, an iPhone, and we use iCloud on the web. We were able to demonstrate the issue to a tech at the "genius bar" on his own phone, so we at least know there will be a bug report in Apple's system.

To reproduce, create a recurring event (weekly or monthly) on either end, let it synchronize, then delete just the first recurrence using the iPhone. When you open iCloud calendar, you briefly see all the recurrences, then they all vanish.

To bring back the missing entries, an iPhone edit of the first (remaining) entry and saving to all future, seems to make them reappear.

We've seen similar problems when editing recurring events on the iPhone and saving changes to only some recurrences, but I didn't follow it up enough to pin down the exact steps to reproduce.

What works for us as a workaround is to do all our editing and deleting of repeating events on the iCloud web interface. Creating them on the iPhone is fine. I don't know how well this works with multiple Apple devices as we only have the one to try.

I am in this boat as well. I use Calendar in iCloud synched to my iPhone. I noticed last week that almost all recurring dates had disappeared in my iPhone. I checked iCloud to discover that ALL recurring dates had disappeared from iCloud. These included my kid's schedules as well as mine.

This is very frustrating.

I am experiencing exactly the same problems! I am very woprried as I bought a suite of Apple gadgets on the strength of the seamless interconnectivity between these via iCloud. The iCalender function was especially important for this reasonl. I will be in the proverbial - - - - if Apple does not sort out this problem!

As others have joined in, I am having exactly the same problem This just began last week. iCal, my iPhone and my iPad all show the recurring appointments; however, the do not appear in iCloud. Adding an additional iCloud appointment is just causing two appointments to appear on the other devices.

As I have read through this thread, I might add that I believe that I did delete an individual occurence from iCloud on a recurring appointment before all of the recurring appointments vanished on the web.

Add me to the list of this problem too... I was in touch with Apple Support last week and I was escalated up the ladder too. No solution still. Calendars on my iPhone and iPad seem to be fine as far as I can tell. But really... not sure how I'm supposed to know all the events that are missing... since the reason I use the calendar is to remind me of things.

Austinfromolympia... I noticed the same thing to... many of the lists in my Reminders on icloud.com are gone. That's what started me noticing the missing items on the calendar on iCloud.com.

Really frustrating as I use iCloud.com at work to compare to my work calendar...

Oh well... I simply don't have time to deal with this. It was faster to just switch back to Google for calendar and Wunderlist for reminders. I was excited about iCloud allowing me to rely on all the stock iPhone apps for my info and having seamless syncing with the web apps. But, if something as simple as editing an instance of a recurring event can throw the whole system into chaos, then who knows what will be next. So, bye to iCloud. It was a nice idea...

A temp fix...

If you delete one of the repeating events on your iphone or mac they all disappear on the web calendar. They are still there but are invisible for some strange reason.

I found if you then edit the next occurance of the repeating event on your iphone or mac ie. edit the title. it will re-appear in the web version. you can then edit the title back to its orignal title

Not a solutuon but helps a little i guess

I'm in the same boat. Recurring events (like a Monday, Wednesday, Friday class) have disappeared from the iCloud calendar on my Windows machine at work. Two days ago I carefully re-created them all on that machine, making them all start at : 01 after the hour. Yesterday (day off) I checked my iPad at home and saw the nice neat rows of appointments with the : 01 start times. Today I checked the Windows machine at the office. All disappeared again.
