Disappearing Events in icloud.com Calendar

For some strange reason last night all my class times that I had in my calendar disapeared right before my eyes in the icloud.com/calendar calendar for this entire term, both past and future. I checked my iPhone and all of it is still there, but on icloud.com/calendar they're still missing. I figured for some reason perhaps my phone simply wasn't syncing correctly so I re-entered all my class times on the website. I checked my phone and it now contains duplicates of all my class times. A short amount of time past and I returned to icloud.com/calendar to discover that the newly re-entered class times had disappeared once again!

I've looked around the settings and I can't figure out why they're suddenly disappearing.

Any help would be awesome!

I have been having the same problem. I have a PC. I have used IE, Mozilla, & Google Chrome, but iCloud calendar remains the same for all. Recurrent events on the pc disappear. I have an iPhone 4s and an iPod and all the events are fine on those devices. It's aggravating because I can't have my phone on me at work and want to check my calendar on the pc and it's inaccurate. Come on Apple, please fix this!

I have had this same issue and posted teh following which I realise I should better post in this thread. John

--

For around two weeks, my iCould.com calendar has stopped displaying recurring events. These events are both viewable and changeable on my iMac and MacBookAir; also on my iPad and iPhone. It is just iCloud.com where the recurring events do not display.

This is a new problem for me. I have used iCloud and its predecessors continually. The recurring events are clinics e.g. 'outpatients at faith hospital' 8am - 12 every Wednesday until my retirement age. If I have leave booked, then I delete the clinic for that week only. I have not had this issue for a long time.

If I move the clinic by an hour and then put it back again, the change appears in all Calendar apps including iCloud.com, but a little while later, the event will disappear from iCloud.com again.

Thanks. John

Please pay attention to this post. To restore ALL your recurring events on the cloud (this is just a workaround, by the way):

1. Delete and recreate the recurring event.

2. Do NOT CHANGE any entries!

3. Instead of changing an entry, ADD another event just like it but says "Not Today" or include the new time.

I know this is awkward, but it will save your bacon until Apple fixes this.

Hi everyone. You guessed it... another victim of the recurring appointments disappearing.

I am a guitar teacher and use the Icloud calendar on my studio Mac. I can't use Ical on my studio Mac as I have already been messed around by Apple. I purchased Logic Pro 8 less than a month before Logic 9 came out and obviously couldn't argue that it's unfair my hard earned cash had been wasted on an out of date product. Logic 8 doesn't work on Lion so I had to keep Snow Leopard. I wasn't going to fall for purchasing Logic 9 when it has been out for a few years. When Mobile Me ended, I could not sync Snow Leopard with ICloud so have been using the ICloud calendar as a work around.

Around the time everyone started having the recurring appointment problem, I too noticed some recurring private students and all school appointments had disappeared. They are still present on my Iphone and Ical on my other Mac.

Apple seem to have a big problem with calendars. I can't get 12 hour clock times to be seen for on the hour appointments either.

Come on Apple, sort it out!

I feel better know after that rant!

I just called apple to solve this problem and they hunged up the phone after making me wait for 5 minutes because the guy who answered supossedly contacted the icloud tech to give me advice on how to solve this.

I'm pretty ****** right now about this, they are pretending icloud is reliable and easy to use but it's not the reality.

I'm thinking about switching to gmail and google docs since they seems to do a lot better job at this.

I have to add my +1 to this, and it definitely doesn't have anything to do w/ recurring events added before settings on the ipad, ipod or macbook were set for the cloud. I have my calendar turned on for iCloud -- it's been that way since I got my iPad a year ago. Just noticed the other day that some of my recurring events are missing on icloud.com.

Thanks, everyone, for trying to find a solution!

Update: I've been getting daily callbacks from Apple Support Senior Manager Simon Wiesner, but with little info or inclination that the engineers were actually working on it. He just called again and finally acknowledged that the engineers are aware of the issue and are actually working on it, but he could not provide an ETA for a fix. He said the fix will likely come as part of an update release to icloud.com. More to come as I hear back. Please call Apple Support if you haven't and/or call back to express the urgency of the issue to your work and/or personal life. I got the email address of my support senior manager, and I've been forwarding him new posts to this thread that express 1) impact to people's livelyhood, 2) links to other threads with the same issue, or 3) workarounds & testing folks have tried to get to the root cause of the issue.

so ive been having the same problem as everyone here but ive seem to have solved it

I use recurring events to schedule out my classes but somehow it got all screwed up last week

what i did was:

1) locate the past events that were once repeating and not showing up in icloud (by searching or whatever)

2) delete all instances of the event

3) create a new repeating event at the next time you are scheduled to have it, (ie, tomorrow)

while doing this, i came across an event I couldnt change the end date for. I discovered others whose end date were not what I had originally set them to be. These seem to be the problem.

Good luck guys
