Resetting Photostream: Advanced button has disappeared

It seems that the "advanced" button (account settings tab) has disappeared. Is there an other option to reset Photostream?

Welcome to the Apple Community.

I guess you'll need to workaround this by deleting the photos from a device that has photostream enabled.

I finally figured it out how to delete all the photos off my iphone 5. After much frustration. Apple....you're supposed to be simple and intuitive!!!

Settings

iCloud

Photo Stream

Turn "My Photo Stream Off" --> This will delete all of the photos!!! Hurray!!

It's stuff like this that really drives me crazy....can't they just put a simple delete or reset button???

I'm in a worse situation than that. I imported 16000 photos into iPhoto on my new mac and so now iPhoto has uploaded all 16000 images and is downloading them constantly onto the same Mac (creating duplicates in iPhoto) and again on my iPhone and iPad, meaning the device is constantly using wifi and constantly slow.

I NEED TO RESET MY PHOTO STREAM! I deleted everything from Photostream and it hasn't worked.

Let's assume you have photostream on 3 devices

Your mac pro

Your iphone

Your ipad

Go to your mac pro, settings, icloud, disable photostream (this is your master) select all pics (easy, just drag outside the pictures and all the way through, hit delete. Whatever machine is your master, you should delete the pics, it might be your laptop, it could be an imac, a mac mini or a mac pro if you've got the big bucks.

Go to your iphone, settings, icloud, disable photostream, it'll prompt you to delete pics

You're done!

Go take some more pics!

well I had a similar problem myself, I had around 5K snaps shown as pending to be uploaded by great our "Photo Stream" after I imported from my earlier library.

I did everything I could find on the net and unfortunately nothing worked. the moment I switched ON, within 5 min it starts uploading the snaps again

- resetting the documents and data from iCloud

- switching OFF my photo stream across my iOS devices

- purging the photo stream from iCloud control panel

and what I did was instead of waiting for a period of 15x days, let the snaps be uploaded [though having unlimited wired connection & leaving mac on throughout the night helps 🙂]

in the morning select all and delete from photo stream, next time snap upload count decrease by 1000.

hope this helps till we have a neat solution from Apple
