When I updated my iPhone 3GS to i06, my contacts were messed up. Some of my contacts were lost, and one of my contacts which I had two numbers for, a new one and an old number, now only has one number and it is the old one. So, will I get my original contacts back if I choose the "Delete from my iPhone" choice?

You would have to check your contacts on icloud.com from your computer. Those are the contacts that will be synced back to your phone when you turn contacts back on in Settings>iCloud.
I'm away right now and can't give you a complete answer to your question for an hour or so. Suggest you leave things as they are until I get back to you.
Open contacts app and check if you have the "Groups" button (upleft corner).
If so tap on it and check what contacts are stored on each account.
Cheonweb -- I looked at the Groups button (Thanks - I didn't even realize that was there.) and it shows that the groups listed are all on iCloud.
Did you ever synced your Contacts through iTunes with Outlook or Contacts app on your computer?
I think the purpose of the question was to see if you had a backup of your contact on your computer in Outlook. Is that the case?
Also, my ringtones are gone which I had personalized to several specific individuals!
You're right. I scrolled further down under "Groups" and there is a group "All Facebook" and a group "All on My iPhone" listed there with checkmarks for both groups as well.
Why would storing contacts on iCloud take off the photos and the ringtones from the stored contacts? That's not good!
Leave only "on my iPhone" group with check mark and see what contacts are in contacts app now.
