Great. just as i thought the 6.1.0 update had finally fixed my 3GS where it used to auto shutdown (not throught the normal low battery shut down) at 30%, after updating to 6.1.2 it has happened again.

Could it be possible that due to an OTA it messed the OS? But the iPad I have was updated via OTA too. Have to restore it again. Since the 6.1.2 is a sub of the 6.1 OS, shouldn't the OS have the same base, with just small bug fixes?

Apple, please fix it! My iPad3 is fine. but not my iPhone

😠

I did have the same issue but after several restores with apple senior advisors, still didn't work till yesterday..the reason why the battery drains is due to you hotmail, ourlook account..so I deleted the hotmail account on my iphone 4S ( Settings>General>Mail,Contact,Calendars>Accounts), you have to delete the hotmail account..then your battery wil go back to normal..No need to restore..I did it..now my iphone 4S works like it used.

I had never battery drain on iphone 5.I used it for 3 days and i told to my friend but they didnt believe. Also i couldnt believe that i was used it enough all the day and battery life was about 3, sometimes 4 days.

The battery life was incredible untill the new ios 6.1.2 update.I was charged my phone yesterday night and now i am writing in 10:17 pm.Nearly 25 hour left and the battery percentage is 1%.

I think what the problem is. With a data monitor apps I found that even using a WiFi conection my iphone 4S still consuming data by my mobile network.

Before making several test I check that disable the push option on my hotmail account, the traffic by the moblie network stop.

I recomend to use the "Fetch" option (30 or 60 min) while the apple team repair this issue.

My problem now is that my data cell plan has get at 93% of consume just in 2 days starting my mounth :(

New iPhone 5 iOS 6 - Work Fine

iOS 6.1 - Works Fine

iOS 6.1.1 - Works Fine

iOS 6.1.2 - Battery is dying so fast! I probably charge my phone atleast 3 times a day or keep it plugged it an every possible chance. Apple, please have this fixed immediately. It simply does not make sense to carry around a really expensive MOBILE phone which at the end of the day is not all that MOBILE because the battery issue.

Arun

iPhone4S - The new update iOS 6.1.2 Battery drain problem has been exacerbated. The impact, charge going down completely every 2 hours- resulting in cancelled meetings, frayed tempers...and to make it sound EVEN WORSE is that experience is not consistent with every iPhone 4S users and obviously the ones who did not update or did'nt face this problem looking smarter and giving that look ( try a better excuse !!). I have tried every idea suggested in this thread (except for a complete uninstall and re-install as I dont have that much time). I hate the idea of being a loser holding an iphone and giving excuses.
