Convert MKV to MP4

This worked although it seemed to take a long time to convert.

As Peter suggested, I also recommended you to try MacX Free MKV Video Converter (http://www.macxdvd.com/mkv-video-converter-free/). It not only can convert MKV to MP4, but also accept many other video files as input and convert them to MP4, AVI, MOV, FLV and other popular formats.

Just four steps, you can make the task finished:

1: Download and run MacX Free MKV Video Converter on Mac, click "Add File" button to load the MKV files.

2: Go to "Mac General Video" profile and choose "MP4 video". You can also adjust the video parameters to customize the output video like resolution, frame rate, bit rate, sample rate, etc.

3: Click the "Browse" button to choose the path where you want to save the output files in.

4: After finish the above steps, click the "RUN" button to start converting MKV to MP4 format on Mac.

You can use mirovideoconverter to convert MKV to Mp4.

Not free. Also an experienced reply is much more helpful than a google search--no one needs a forum to google search.

Don't waste people's time answering 3 1/2 year old posts, either.

I solved this problem by converting everything to mp4 using this free app called HandBrake and then I simply dragged them to itunes.

looks more like SEO than a good app.

try "HandBrake" for DVDs, "MKV2MP4" for ease of use or "remux" for many options
