will voicemails be deleted if i restore iphone?

iTunes wants me to restore my iPhone to get out of recovery mode (I was trying to install the latest iPhone update- which failed for some reason.) My voicemails are stored on my iPhone. Will i lose my voicemails if i restore my phone? If so, how can I keep my voicemails as they are very important to me.
