TNT Delivery Status not aviable

If mine has arrived in Arnhem (which is geographically further away than Amsterdam was) is there a reasonable chance that this bunch of jokers will deliver it befor the weekend?

Capetani, my tracking has been exactly the same as yours so far, almost up to the minute (although a little behind now). I have:

What makes you think it won't come tomorrow? I will call TNT early tomorrow, and try to get them to make sure it goes to a local depot and out for delivery tomorrow.

Has anyone here actually had TNT get it from Northampton to them the next day?

Your one [Tetmin] I notice went straight to Northampton Hub from Arnhem... I just hope the TNT boys are working hard over night to get it to our nearest depot... so, erm they have to send my MacBook back down here again.

Capetani... did your one go through Croydon at any stage? You are Surrey based too!

I just hope for everybody that they arrive tomorrow... otherwise this thread will get even longer negatively... but I'm not that hopeful!

That's really a pity, capetani. Seems like the MacBooks can make it into Zurich in just three days. Still, you'll get your hands on it soon 😉

So mine is apparently out for delivery now! Now the exciting part (given that something doesn't go wrong the last 5 km it has to travel) is whether all is well with the computer...

Mine was out for delivery yesterday. Did I actually get it? Oh, no...

Ha ha ha... I'm really laughing with madness here...

So it goes up all the way to Northampton and comes back the next day to Croydon... that is being efficient, eh?

Should I expect it today... no, they most probably send it to back China at this rate! Anyway, I hope everyone I've been swapping info on this thread will get it today... including me!

I called TNT today to ask them what's up with my shipment. They told me something along the line of "don't worry, we'll have until the 7th of June to deliver it to you" and confirmed my suspicions that it was still in China "but it's not in the originating depot any more, which is good". They didn't at all sound determined to deliver it before next Wednesday. I dunno why they're called Express, but we shouldn't really blame TNT. Looks like our beloved manufacturer chose the cheapest way of transport other than sea freight-TNT certainly has faster shipping options available and lots of folks would have liked to pay extra to have it in their hands a few days earlier.

Then, just before I wanted to post this message, I had another look at the tracking page and got this:

Hmm... there's a TNT freight flight from Liege (Belgium IIRC) to Vienna arriving daily at 3:20 in the morning. If they can get it onto that flight it could be here by tomorrow.

They didn't screw up - I got it now! It seems fine so far, but I'm at work and will have to test it later... Plus I am waiting for 2 GB of RAM which should also be out for delivery (unless the national Danish post company messes up - that can also happen...) Good luck to everyone else getting theirs!

Well, mine is out for delivery as of 06:43 this morning! Given that the depot is about half an hours drive away, i don't see how they could possibly manage not to deliver it!

Good luck to everyone with getting it today, let's just hope they're in good condition otherwise we're going through this all over again.

Whoo hooo! My one is out on delivery too at 8.49am... light at the end of tunnel!

Congratulations, i'm still stuck in Arnhem. Give the TNT guy a kick in the shins for me will you?

Got mine at 10:30 and now I'm just in heaven 🙂 The waiting was awful and I wouldn't want to do it again, but in hindsight it was worth it. Haven't found a single flaw yet, but I'll put it under the microscope the next couple of days.

Since this is my first Mac ever I'm a bit lost, but it'll come to me eventually 😉
