Why does Itunes suck

I have used Macs for over 2 1/2 decades and ready to find somthing else unless these devices you have work together. I was having difficulty waking apple tv up and used my macbook pro to wake it up and I rented a movie to send it to the apple tv. To my dismay you cant do this so infront of comany I had to say sorry we have to watch this movie on 15" screen cause apple products apparently cant work together. Please tell me if I am wrong but this is a problem movie should be accessed on multiple devices if need elese Itumes really does suck. MS Xbox music and the zune is starting to look more promising.

Use whatever example you like, house burning down, tossed in trash to create a world of more garbage, or donated to a library. For the last time, I am a quite honest citizen who bought a CD and I no longer have the CD but I do have legally made copy. For the last time tell me legally where it is stated that I must have that originally bought CD in my possession in order to play my legally made copy. Kindly stop inferring that my donating to the local library means that I am proactively contributing to piracy. The local library has thousands of CDs that anyone can listen to there, or borrow, what that individual does with the any of those CDs is up to that individual. I have not found anywhere on the RIAA where it states that a legally purchased CD must remain in possession in order for the purchased to play the legally made copy. Sidenote: If you want a great story on who destroyed the record company read this.

It's OK to say that you were wrong or misspoke.

I have simply asked you to educate me and many, many others who no longer have their purchased CDs in there possession, where it is written that we must have CD in possession to play a legal copy.

Stop dodging the question.

I am asking you as a law student to provide me with the document that states we must have the CD - that we paid for - in possession in order to play the legally made copy?

You can't tell me what to do.

How top begin with, how about you show me the legal document that allows you to make copies of this music.

It has Copyright symbol and copyright notice printed on the CD so why are you making any copies?

Chris - you are allowed to make legal copies of music for your own personal use. That is has been a long standing rule and the entire reason why you can import a CD into iTunes or even burn a backup CD - again for your own use. You cannot burn a CD and give it to friend - that's piracy. I have already provided you the link to RIAA and you can review iTunes own rules if you like. Please review this chain, your argument has been that I cannot play my ITunes file if I lose the CD, and my argument is that yes I can play the file.even if I no longer own the CD.

Take care, I'm done.

You seem to be lacking/not using a simple bit of common sense.

Correct. as I have stated from the beginning.

But you do not own the CDs. You did not lose the CDs. You gave them away for others to use and the artist to not get any royalties.

You cannot burn a CD and give it to friend - that's piracy.

Correct. and this is exactly the same as RIPPING the CD and giving the CD away and keeping the songs.

and you also cannot RIP the songs and give those RIP'd songs to friends.
