outgoing mail not sent BUT appears in "SENT" folder

G'day all!

Just tried to send some PDF's about 225k in size and also a copy past version of the same doc via Mail app. ALL attempts appear to get sent and they DO appear in the SENT folder but they do not get to the recipient. All other attempts to send stuff goes but not but NOT this particular item. I have sent them to myself at various addresses incl. iCloud and my normal ISP's in box for my account. All were sent via iCloud outgoing but none arrived – only the "test" emails (to make sure it wasn't me) arrived All pdf's were made on an iPad. Any clues? very strange indeed! cheers, Sam

sorry mate, not "reading list" but "reader" ..... if you go to this URL: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2013/03/25/130325fa_fact_finnegan

and look at the URL in the address space at the top of the page, next to the "search" space you should see the word "reader" inside a recangle between the URL address and the refresh circular arrow. If you hit the name "reader" in the rectangle you will get a page of the text only and not the other bits of nonemsense. It was from this that I tried to copy/paste all my failures..........hope that this makes sense....thanbks once again!!

Awesome sam this helps at the bottom of the page you will have an option to email the article to a friend from the newyorker.com website. Also the reader cuts out all the ads, i did copy and past the first page myself and email it as a pages document and it worked with no issues. I made sure though i only selected the text.

Thanks mate! I am near the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay with net access limited at best. I will try to solve the dilemma when I get back to Oz in June. in the mean time thanks for your time and if I discover anything relevant to this prob I will let you know. FWIW I knew about " Reader" cutting out the ads and that is why I choose to try it that way. And the email link is convoluted to send to several addresses and it only sends the link, if I remember rightly. That's why I tried to do my own PDF. Anyway I am grateful for you thinking about this for me. for now thanks and cheers!

Just tried to export as a Pages, Word and PDF doc. Like you, the Pages DID work (thanks) but still the same issue for the Word & PDF. Appears in Sent folder but does NOT arrive. Thanks again ..... Sam
