Had the same problem that "iTunes.msi" couldn't be found.

Downloaded iTunes installation file "iTunesSetup.exe", ran it and selected "remove iTunes".

After it completed the uninstall, right-clicked on the installation file and selected "Run as administrator".

Worked perfectly.

I ran regedit on my computer (running Windows 8) and it did not identify in iTunes files
