The program wouldn't get that far. After setting the size and clicking partition the error would occur. A partition could not be made thus I did not get the opportunity to apply advanced drive options.
Then what does this have to do with the issue?
I had to take it to a repair shop. From what was explained, the issue is that the partition from bootcamp doesn't format the partition in NTFS, which Win7 requires. They downloaded a driver to partition that drive in NTFS and installed Win7 in less than an hour. I don't know any more details, unfortunately. Good luck.
It is the standard method of setting up Boot Camp to use the Windows installer.
Yes- sorry that that post was not specific and may add to the confusion. I could not get bootcamp to create a partition using the recommended drivers and bootcamp manual. Because I couldn't find any help from the discussion boards, I took it to the repair shop. The approximate explanation given by them is what I had listed above. They did not give specifics about what they had to do to create a partition, but did say an additional driver was necessary.
No drivers are required, you got taken, but it's working now (I hope) so it's done.
I also get this same problem, I just repaired my disk and its still not working...
But i also have to add that my harddrive is a SSD and i ended up not enabling trim right away. I enabled it around 2 weeks after installed it. Can someone help me out?
Hi there. I am getting the same error when Bootcamp tries to partition. My Mac has a single partition as Mac Extended Journaled, I am partitioning Windows as 30GB leaving 100GB free on my MacOSX. I seem to be folowing all of the steps and I am using a Legal Windows 7 install Disc with 64-Bit software. My Mac is i5 64-Bit. I am at a loss. Can anyone help?

I had this problem today. It turns out there was an a small issue with the directories on the disk which was easily resolved. To see if you have the same problem as me, try the following.
If for any reason the repair option didn't work, here's another way to repair the disk .This is the technique which I used. It's a bit more 'technical', but quite easy. You can see the original artical on OSX Daily:
Hopefully this helps others, and will prevent costly visits to your local computer shop!
Thank you, the first paragraph was enough to get me up and running.

This worked! Thanks man!! You've solved a problem that was driving me crazy for the past week!
I am having this same issue, however disc errors do not appear to be the problem. I've verified, repaired, all to no avail. All I get is "this disc can not be partitioned".
Appreciate any insight or help.
I have an appointment with One on One tonight, but they've already told me that they can't help with Windows. I'm hoping they can at least help me with bootcamp, since it's an Apple thing. As is the partitioning.

This worked great!!
This method worked after the first failed attempts using the disk utility alone. Thanks..
Thanks much! Other 'solutions' & 'answers' were time-wasters. I had to reboot to singler-user mode and use the terminal command to the repair the disk. Disk Utility didn't do it for me. So thanks! Nice to finally have things working.
