iOS 6.1.3 battery drainage

Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

THANKS Jajaba I had never dug that far !

EVERYONE CHECK in Settings >Mail >Fetch New Data >Go down to ADVANCED they snuck in another iCloud PUSH HERE! Turn it off .. Or set to Manual , whicheans it will check for mail when you turn program on.

NOTE This is NOT the PUSH settings at top .. But a totally hidden one!

I had the same problem when i upgraded to 6.1.3. Battery lasted less than 5 hours after full recharge even when phone is on standby. The problem has to do with the mailboxes. I have disabled all mail accounts and the drain has slowed down considerably to about 1% per hour in standby mode. Try that, it is a temp solution before Apple comes with an upgrade that solves the problem.

As always, there are multiple issues that effect battery. So one fix won't solve every bodies problems.

Earlier I turned push off from mail, contacts and calendars and also on the advanced section.

At that point my battery was at 52% and I had 2 hours 15 mins useage.

Now my battery is at 40% and I have 4 hours 9 minutes usage.

It's too early to tell, but so far my battery life appears better. 48% got me just over 2 hours and now 12% has got me just over 2 hours.

Since 6.1.3 my battery has been dead within 4-5 hours usage. Now it looks as though its going to last a fair bit longer.

Ill update the thread tomorrow.

That's a pretty dang good battery life. I'm at 1 hour 34 mins and 59% and all I've done is some light surfing.

I'll try the turning all mail accounts off thing and get back at you.

You should download sys activity manager and tell me if your phone gets really hot. According to the app my phone is always in the "red" section which might be overrheating the battery.
