iOS 6.1.3 battery drainage

Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

Funny enough, by accident I found an interesting point.

Because of some travel issued I drained my iPhone down to 1%. But it lastet for over 5 hours of operation with this 1% power left. After this I tested it by purpuse, and yes it is reproducable... 4-5 hours medium work with the last 1% :-)

Can it be that only the calibration of the battery is the problem and the full remaining power is wrong ... ?

Can anyone else test this with his phone ... ?

I have this same issue! my phone is draining battery so fast, its actually crazy! it is always fully charged morning at around 8:30 and by 12:00, when i get off of "work" (cit stuff!) it is usually around 70-55% battery. Keep in mind that it is on during this time, but it is put away and all apps (except messages) are in use. SO in three hours, around 30-45% battery is drained from it just sitting around. You are alowed to ask for a replacement phone for this issue, correct??

I am experiencing same problems on a 1 year old iphone 4S w/ iOS 6.1.3. Full charge over night depelted to 35% after a full day of work where the phone was used minimally (probably 20 texts sent/received). This charge at the end of the day is a slight improvement, now that I have turned off location services, siri, returned fetch times and screen brightness.

I have also tried the fix that involves turning off all e-mail/icloud-esque services and soft-restarting the phone, this did not seem to help. Also tried a factory reset to no avail. A freind of mine has the same phone and has spectacular battery life -- almost two days with normal usage.

Have been googling around on the issue and it seems rampant.

Have we heard anything from Apple yet?

Hi,

******* Battery drain issue resolved ***********************

I tried following easy steps and my iphone4 with version 6.1.3 battery has terribly improved. It last one complete day without recharing, no need to turn off wifi, bluetooth or celluar data

- Download an app for deleting multiple contacts at once, i used free app "contactclean"

- Delete duplicate conatcts, I just deleted for alphabets A and B

- Restart Iphone

- Charge it to 100% and check the battery life

This worked extremely well in my case. Hope this helps .....

It really would be nice to be able to downgrade in times like this...at least within the major releases. I've used Apple products literally my whole life. Internet in its "public" infancy, watching in wonder as my best friends big brother was droppin' their rotary phone receiver on what I now know of as a modem...Back when a "piracy" was better known as a friend being a nice guy. Companies made a name for themselves for releasing quality, creative products. The commercials that apple ran of the authoritative/drone PC world...Amazing that now you have to shut off your device now days, and wait for the overlord to bestow a possible fix on you, like mana from their apple shaped cloud. Just wait, today its a "free" upgrade/fix...Tomorrow what is public today, may become an in-device-purchase... gotta pay to idpshsh it.. just to fix that battery problem....hope the public we be decides against this... soon... it would be nice to quickly fix this drainage problem....
