STOP CORRECTING ME!!!

This is annoying, it happens in both Mail and Safari, I type in text and my Mac keeps INSISTING on replacing the text with what it thinks isbetter, it insists on changing my ORD to ODD, no matter how many times I change it to ORD, still ODD....

Hey, Apple, PUHLEEEZE, I wanna fly toORD, Chicago, IL, USA, not to ODD which is in some weird place calledOodnadatta, somewhere in the Tundra of central Australia.......

Is there a way to tell my Mac to be a bit more humble and polite, less insisting it's always right? Correcting my typos, great, please, keep up the good job, but hey, I wanna fly to Chicago, not to some Oodnadattaplace, where I'd be probably eaten by the local cannibals, all because of YOU !!!!!!!........
