Is there a Find Friends for the Mac?

Find my friends can be used in iCloud on the mac. If you have Find Friends installed on an iOS device, when you open iCloud in Safari, you should see the Find friends app. All you need to do is open the app.

"Find my Friends" isn't available for OS X at the moment, or at least, I haven't heard anything about that, apart from the fact that it's available for the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Maybe it will be included in OS X in an update

Can you indicate me where you see something that may be misleading in that website? I don't find anything related to Find my Friends for Mac

In my opinion, there isn't any sign of a possible error. It just indicates that you can set up iCloud, not Find my Friends, on all of those computers and devices, but it's just my opinion, and it may be confusing for other users

Hello, i too would much prefer to "find my friends"using my MacBookPro or Imac and totally agree that the Apple webpage is definitely misleading, it really gives the impression that all the displayed devices are supporting this app!

If you hear of a way to use a Mac running OSX to view "find my friends" could you please let me know,cheers Dave Cummings UK

Find My Friends enables you to locate iOS devices only when they are on and connected to a registered Wi-Fi network or have an active data plan.

Right. So, like the above users, I would like to locate an iOS device using my Mac. But I can't.

And yeah, the page is misleading.

I think Find Friends is great, and would be great to have on my Mac, not just IOS.

The Apple page is misleading (doesn't the fact that several of us have been misled define that it is misleading?).

That still doesn't excuse the page in question from being misleading.

If you look at the structure of the page:

Major Heading: "Find my Friends"

Subheading: "Good friends aren’t hard to find"

Subheading: "Play by your rules"

Subheading: "Simple Setup" - showing iDevices, Macbook and Windows PC

The immeadiate conclusion is that Find my friends is available on all of the devices shown

As "bigbaldbob" has already been pointed out the fact that the majority of posters on the thread are saying the page is misleading is probably indicative of misleading, okay, poor design.

Poor design at best. The section you refer to as misleading doesn't really have anything to do with Find My Friends. It is essentially a banner ad for iCloud.
