Apr 9, 2013 1:27 PM in response to easiest_dinnerby nsuugaming,I had this when I installed Windows 7 on my iMac. I fixed it by downloading the Realtek Audio Driver from here:
http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Le vel=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs
The Latest Drivers will work with Windows XP through to Windows 8.
Then, just reboot and you should be good to go.

Jun 22, 2013 4:41 PM in response to easiest_dinnerby folbaj,Found one solution that works after working through a bunch that didn't.
The audio drivers that come with the latest boot camp don't work to produce sound even though Windows is reporting that the device High Definition Audio is working.
The task is to update the device driver using the driver from Cirrus Logic which can be found at
http://www.stuffedcow.net/macbook_audio. Select "WinVista" version on this page or use this link to download the zip that contains the drivers at http://www.stuffedcow.net/files/CS4207_WinVista_Win7_32-64-bit_6-6001-1-30.zip.
First unzip the drivers to a file folder of your choice that you will need to remember as you will need to point to it later, e.g. c:\users\yourname\Cirrus_Logic
Next find the audio device in device manager. Can use Search Settings "device", select "update device drivers" or "device manager" and find "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers". Under this item, you should see a High Definition Audio device that is working properly., Right Click on it and select "Update Driver Software", then "Browse My Computer for driver software", then navigate to or paste the folder path into the location window. Click Next, and it will start looking for drivers in that folder/path.
It should find the drivers and complete the installation and when it is done your sound device should now be named "Cirrus Logic". Be patient at this step, it can take a few minutes.
Must reboot computer at this point and then sound through speakers or audio jack should be working!
Good Luck,
Darryl

Nov 5, 2013 3:58 PM in response to folbajby Mr.L3X,Hi!
First, excuse my poor way to explain because Im from Costa Rica in Central America and my native language is Spanish. I have a Macbook Air with maverick 10.9 and windows 8 installed, everything is fine except the sound, there is no sound at all. Lucky to get to this post, download the Cirrus Logic file that you recommend
http://www.stuffedcow.net/files/CS4207_WinVista_Win7_32-64-bit_6-6001-1-30.zip.
and follow the installation procedure, but I have one question: Which one of the long list of models I have to choose? Any help or suggestion to get the sound finally in my laptop will be appreciated!
I have to mention that I download to a USB drive the latest version of bootcamp directly from my other OS in the same laptop and when I try to run the bootcamp.exe the system says isn´t compatible with my version of 64bits. Apparently this is the only real solution but Im stuck in the final step to close this painful chapter in my life, hahaha.

Dec 18, 2013 12:34 AM in response to easiest_dinnerby Bobby NAN,Issue might be due to HDMI Output.
ISSUE:
I had a secondary monitor connected to my MAC PRO over HDMI and this was causing the issue.
My MAC was sending the audio over HDMI instead to the speaker.
CHECK:
If there is sound coming from your audio jack, this is the problem.
FIX:
Change Default Audio Output.
STEPS:
Open Control Panel
View by: Small Icons
Double Click Sound
Under Playback Tab.
Highlight Speaker
Set Default.

Dec 24, 2013 9:20 AM in response to folbajby Drunkmonk1600,Thanks Folbaj. Totally worked! I've been living w/o audio on my Bootcamp windows for a couple years now. Ran into a little hurdle when trying to update my Driver. When navigating to the Cirrus Driver make sure to hit "next", not "Let me pick..."

Dec 25, 2013 1:23 PM in response to folbajby evil.devil,I did what you said but I get "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems."
I'm on win8 x64 EFI boot.
