New to Apple Support Communities:There is an empty file in my trash at startup called MerpAD Office365. To my knowledge, I do not use Office 365. What is it, where can I find it, and can I trash it? I have had numerous problems with Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 and do not want anything more of this product than I absolutely need on my computer.

All versions of Office on the Mac have been notorious for not cleaning up their temporary files when the application is quit. I have temp files from Office 2011 in my trash almost every morning. There's nothing any of us can do to fix it, but it's harmless, just annoying.

That seems to do the trick! Have you noticed any effect on performance or other aspects of using any of the Office programs?
I found this solution today so I can't say at long term but for now all seems to work flawlesly.
I also have this issue, using Mavericks, but do not see the MERP file at that path
waite, nevermind. Got it. That said, any ideas on what would contribute to the documents gallery templates loading up VERY slowly? They do load, eventually, but seem to take forever.
