ipad stuck in headphone mode

I had this same issue just now. My wonderful daughter decided to run our Ipad 2 under the faucet. Well so I grab the air compressor out in my garage and cleared out the headphone jack and the charger area. This solved the problem wonderfully.

Thank you this is the only solution to this problem. I was skeptical but tried it none the less...only add, flip AirPlay settings and see headphones turn to iPad.

Hi. Just happened to me this morning on my new pro after a drink spilled! Tried all the above suggestions without success. What FINALLY worked was connecting through airplay to apple tv. After connecting to the Apple TV, all appeared to be "reset." Good luck!
