I am trying to connect my Samsung tv to my ipad(with retina display) and I don't know how to work it. I have the adapters but I would like it if someone could tell me a step by step walk through of how to do it, thank you.

What exactly does not work?
My Lightning digital Av adapter works fine with my iPad Air on iOs 8.3
Since the update when I put the adaptor into my iPad it does not appear on the TV
