Why did you get rid of iPod nano 6th generation? This was the perfect ipod for travel, gym etc.., Why did you get rid of iPod nano 6th generation? This was the perfect ipod for travel, gym etc..

The ipod nano 6th genration was one of the perfect apple products. Why did you replace it:

1) 7th generation is not a clip on

2) the new ipod shuffle cannot view the music/library and there is no radio

Apple what were you thinking ?

As I said, it's not an "argument," it my opinion. It's fine with me if you don't agree, don't keep pointing out why I'm wrong by just saying it "makes not sense" without really saying WHY it makes no sense. Who cares if I'm "jumping" between all the varied reasons why the new nano is a far better product. That doesn't diminish any particular point I made about why the new nano is a far better product. In comparison, you don't say why the old nano is better EXCEPT for, "It has a clip!" 🙂

I've used all the iPods since the 3rd Generation click wheel so I know what I am talking about. Adding BT tech necessitated a larger Nano and a number of people here complained when the 6th came out about not being able to watch video.

But who knows they dumped the buttonless Shuffle to go back to the former design so keep sending in that feedback.

I'd prefer they did not have a clip on it, it gets in the way when you are putting it in a case or in your pocket.

Most people hated the buttonless shuffle, including reviewers, and Apple reversed course because a majority of their customers quit buying the Shuffle. If the same thing happens with the 7th generation then they will change. But I also like the size of the 7th generation and like having BT built in. At this time to go back to the 6th generation size would require removing BT circuitry.

And a number of very vocal people here hated the 6th generation because you clipped it at the gym, sweat got into it and it failed.

I agree with you. I had the 6th generation nano as well, (double click the on/off button to change songs and the volume was easy to work without looking at the screen, which is all i really needed for workouts). I´ve had it for three years and it just started breaking down on me, I take it running, to the gym, hiit, crossfit, etc etc. Kenichi might have a point with the moisture damage, that may have what started to cause my screen to black out. BUT i wholeheartedly agree that the ipod nano touch, size of a shuffle and WITH A CLIP was AMAZING! I just started to looking for another one and am so sad to see that they are all discontinued. The model I had was perfect. Too bad the new ipod nano doesnt come with a clip, I would be satisfied with that. I really liked the size of the 6th generation, but new one doesnt look so bad.
