Can't export from FCPX!! (error -1)

Hi, I'm running FCPX 10.0.8 on a late 2012 iMac and I've got to get an edit out urgently for the client but I keep getting an error every time I try to export. I can't do anything with this video if I can't export it!!! I need help urgently.

I get the following message as attached:

The share operation Master File has failed.

The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 1328 (error -1).

It's 1440X1080 ProRes 422 original footage AVCHD.

Any help on this?! It's urgent!

Btw I've already located frame 1328 and removed the clip that starts there. Still fails. Also tried copy/pasting it into new project and rendering it all again. Still fails.

Many thaks

Not weird at all. These days there's so much video on the web that browsers are accessing the same resources as video applications. Background rendering and processing is all well and good in theory, but no professional will use the same machine while the computer is processing or encoding files. It's one thing to use the computer while it's copying files, but it's a whole other can of worms to use it while it's using both the GPU and the CPU to process complex calculations.

This is what worked for me:

When the export failed I clicked details and it gives me a frame number (1635)

I switch the Preferences setting for the timecode window in the middle bar to display in frames and I got to that frame number.

This clip and/or therender for the clip is corrupt.

Right click the clip "Reveal in Browser," then right click that in event browser and select "reveal in finder."

I opened with MPEG stream clip and converted it to a new .mov clip and replaced the clip. Make sure to get rid of the old one.

Quit FCPX, reopen and now you should be able to render and export.

Best of luck!
