Ios 6.1.4 battery drain

Downloaded last night, went to bed with 96% battery woke up 6 hours later to 1% battery! Never happened till I updated. Anyone else?

For me I had gone through all the differnet setting and turned off things I knew or thought would drain the battery. My lock screen was set for 1 min even though I always click my lock button. I also took it into the apple store the guy did a hard reset for me and whiped my phone told me to go home plug it into iTunes and set it up as a new phone. He said to keep a eye on my battery level and if things still are bad to bring it back in a couple days and they will then go to see if there is a hardware problem. I really hope that I do not have to go back again as this was the 2nd time and my phone is 4 days old.

I got my first iPhone with the 5. I am not a big Apple guy, but I do like my iPhone 5. The battery life since I got it in November hasn't been outstanding, but it has been acceptable...

...that is until this latest patch (6.1.4). I took my phone of the charger this morning at 10am. By noon it was down to 57% and I had not used the telephone at all, and done some very light email checking.

There are times when it heats up as well. Something is going on, and it INFURIATES me that Apple (or whomever) won't just say, "there's a problem, we're working on it". All of these "turn this off" and "turn that off" recommendations are ridiculous. If you have to disable your phone to make it work, what's the point? Many above have made this same observation. I can disable bluetooth, and WiFi, and everything else, but if I didn't have to do that before to get through the day (let alone 2 hours) why now?

If the battery worked fine with 6.1.3 and before (relatively speaking), and there have been no other changes, then it is 6.1.4. Period.

Now I realize it could be 6.1.4 as it is interacting with something else, since the problem doesn't appear to be universal to everyone.

See previous post (battery draining within 3 hours with 6.1.4). Spoke with support. Through their recommendation I Restored iPhone as a new phone using computer and iTunes. This worked resolving the battery drain on iOS 6.1.4. After restoring I didn't put any info back on it to test. From midnight to 6:00am it didn't drain any battery.

Since then I have restored my content (all apps and email) through icloud back up and battery levels are maintaining.

Just as a FYI I had updated to iOS 6.1.4 over the air. Probably would have avoided issue if would have updated via computer.

I upgraded to 613 last week from 511 and have found that the battery drain issue is real.

I waited to upgrade for several reasons, but wanted better security.

So, my 3gs phone drains in about 3 hours and like everyone else who has been advised,

resetting this and that and turning off this and that is not a solution.

I did discover though, while sitting through a 6 hour mariner game against the white sox

yesterday, 16 innnings ! and mariners lost; was that

If I set my : reset network settings", then it drains a charge at 1 % every 5 min, rather

than 1 % per minute. This is with the screen saver turned off. If i black it out, it last

longer; however, let me start using it again, and the drain is faster but not at 1% per

minute. This being said, I called apple today, gave a report and hopefully they'll

fix it. Its definetly a network software program issue. At least I found a temp solution

to maintain my battery life, somewhat.

No iphone upgrade for me, will have to switch off if they cant solve this.

Hope this helps.
