icloud notes not syncing

This is a weird one, any note created on my imac appears on my iphone and ipad through icloud

But any note created on my ipad or iphone doesn't appear on my imac.

Have searched for this particularly icloud issue, but couldn't find out which device i need to work on or what the workaround is

Thanks for any help!

I believe iOS9 made significant changes to several applications, and these changes are really only compatible with El Capitan (downloadable as of today 9/30/2015) as described during the download and installation instructions in the iOS9 release notes. This is acceptable; however what is NOT acceptable is that Apple allowed this small "gap" in compatibility to be a short-term issue between the mobile devices running iOS9 and OSX. I am downloading and installing El Capitan this evening to attempt to solve the issue, and see if this resolves it between my iMac and my iPhone, then check my Macbook Pro and see if the issue remains between the un-upgraded Macbook Pro and my iOS9 iPhone.

Update to this to be provided in less than 24hrs.

I have a strange issue where notes from my IOS devices are going to iCloud but Notes will not sync to my Mac no matter what I do. I have restarted, re-installed the entire bloody OS, turned everything on and off a million times and still nothing although other iCloud apps are syncing. Mac OS 10.10.5, IOS 9.2. I have gone thru all the Apple rigamarole I can stand and they seem to offer nothing.

First go to system preferences. Then, click on Security & Privacy. Now go to the tab that says FileVault. In the bottom right hand corner unlock the lock and make sure that FileVault is turned off. You can make sure it is by making sure it has a button to turn it on thats how you know it is turned off. FileVault is commonly used by the government and it just makes all your files untraceable by any means. You can allow this to turn off in the background. Then make sure your mac is backed up BEFORE anything else is done, otherwise you might lose all your files. Now that you are backed up go to the app store on your mac and find the free software El Captain and download it. This will take a while so I recommend leaving downloading overnight. Then when it is done downloading it click the F4 key and double click El Cap. Everything else should be self explanatory and your mac will need to be restarted. Let me know if you have any other questions!
